Challenge
Rethink how to measure the impact of a longstanding program focused on building up young, high-risk Latina mothers in Chelsea, MA to include the impact the program has - and could have - on their children as well.
Solution
After completing a robust program assessment of the High Risk Young Mothers program, Openfields curated the most relevant early childhood development research to help Roca build a new 2Gen program model and data collection strategy. We mapped the current organizational data flows and recommended both processes and tools to help Roca collect data that would align with research demonstrating a direct connection between program activities and improved health and wellness outcomes for mothers and their children.
